The shots of the band are redundant, as we see shots of the whole band playing. We also see alot of close up shots of the lead singer, which is another redundant feature. The high amount of low angle shots with the band playing closer to it is common among rock videos.
The way Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid are used in the video is a way to promote the movie "Van Wilder", which the song is also featured in. Its fairly entropic that the music video didnt just use clips from the movie, but a section made for the song.
The way we see both characters doing similar but contrasting things to get ready is redundant, and the split screen shots make this even more true. The male is seen acting more rash and cocky, which is redundant as it shows a stereotype for males.
