Haste the Day - Stitches

This video features the band playing, and seperate scenes related to the song. The part focusing on the band is highly redundant, as we see them playing in a desolate and abandoned room. We see a high amount of cuts, especially during the heavier parts of the song. Even the positioning of the band is redundant, with the lead singer at the front, the guitarists and bassists behind him, then finally the drummer at the rear. We see alot of close ups of the lead singer, and less of the rest of the band, which is redundant.
The other section is also redundant. We see a very tradational family eating a meal, with a teenager positioned outside of the conversation. This then leads to the father drinking and shouting at the family. This is redundant as many music videos aimed at teenagers feature some sort of abuse the lead receives, typically, in a relatable way. The way they look into a mirror is also redundant, as it is used frequently to suggest the character is emotionally unsettled.
The use of stitches in the leads mouths could be partially redundant, as it takes the song very literally. However, some shock value, and therefore entropic values, are shown when we see them remove the stitches.
